A FEW MISSED POSTS

ALright we have not had internet (or a phone) for a while so we have not been able to post. Therefore here are a few missed posts from the past month.

Post 1: December 16, 2008: Grantsville is beautiful and peaceful and it doesn't snow much out here, but the WIND BLOWS (it actually sucks because it blows so hard). I went to Las Vegas for a conference on Sunday, December 14, 2008 and wasn't able to talk to my wife for two days because we have satellite phone. The wind blew so hard that it was not functioning. My beautiful wife had enough and does what she always does when she gets extremelly frusturated. She fixes it. She cancelled our existing phone and internet service and we are still waiting on QWEST to hook up our new phone service. In other words we have no phone! Paul Van Dyke was verry gracious in helping us rewire the phone in our house and loaning us his cell phone so Rayma could communicate with me in Las Vegas! As of this post we are still without a phone and Rayma no longer has a cell phone, so it will be a quiet christmas!

Post 2: December 11, 2008: Blake Celebrated his seventh birthday. We are very grateful for him and his engergetic personality. He has also grown into a big helper and really enjoys school and has turned out to be great reader.

Post 3: December 10, 2008: Caleb had surgery today on his herrnia. It turned out to be two herrnia's and he had water collecting around his testicals. So he actually had four procedures done. He was under the anesthia longer then we wanted, but everything turned out well. I am gratefull for the priesthood. We were very nervous about the surgery prior to the surgery and I had the opportunity to give Caleb a blessing the night before and the spirit was strong and confirmed he would be okay.

We were very grateful this thanksgiving to have everyone on the Hobb's side (except Michael and Shantel and their family who we missed dearly) at our house. We have a great time. We ate way too much and then we ate some more. We were grateful that all could make it out to our house safely and we could spend some time together. We spent most of the time visitng with each other and learning why Twilight is an aphrodisiac for some. We also found out that Susan can read. Well we knew that she could read, but we found out that she does read and Tony likes it when she does, because he can play uninterrupted for hours on his Wii.It would take too long to recount all of the things that we are grateful for this year and the many miracles that have transpired in the family over the past little while. It sufficieth to say that we are forever indebted to our Heavenly Father for our many blessings including this wonderful family.

Monday, for family home evening we painted pumpkins in preparation for halloween. The kids loved it. I also want to mention that Rayma and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on Oct 23, 2008 (the day Caleb was actually do). It has been the best 10-years that I have ever spent as a married man! Okay it has been the best 10-years ever!

Things We Like to Do

This weeks post reflects on things we like to do as a family. First and update, we are doing well. Rayma wishes the baby would come, but she still has 2 and 1/2 weeks. Blake's best friend in Grantsville who used to live down the street moved and he was devastated until we found out he was only moving three streets away. Braden has decided that he loves to play the Wii. His favorit game is "baseball bat". Blake is doing well in school. He scored a perfect 100% on his first ever spelling test. He also spelled all 4 bonus words correctly. Kaitlyn, continues to develop into a helpful girl and her a Braden have become great friends since Blake went to school.

As you can see from the pictures some of our favorite things to do is read. The kids love to read books, color, and have books read to them. Braden has found out about hats lately. He loves to wear them loves to wear two at a time-as you can see.

Blake loves to play the Wii. He is so funny to watch. When he runs he pumps both his legs and arms. Dis feet are moving as fast as his hands and he gets tired really quickly.

Kaitlyn loves to play the piano and dance around the house. She is always doing pirouettes around the house.

Blake "Mom, my lunch $ account is low"

Well this morning as I was helping Blake to hurry along to get ready for school and not miss the bus he said, "Mom, my account is low." "What do you mean I said?" My lunch money account is low. Well at the beginning of the year I had sent 15.00 which equated to 10 school lunches. He has learned his student number now and has purchased a few milks when I did not send a drink in his lunch box, but they are only 25 cents a piece. I have recorded that he only ate school lunch 5 times the other days I have packed a lunch for him-and on many occasions he does not eat it all but will sit down at the bus stop on his way home with his friend and they will finish his lunch there.
So I called to school to see what the balance was. She said he had $1.15 left, and she would send home a report. After hanging up the phone I was very confused and said, "They don't know what they are doing down there."
Blake then pipes in to say "Mom, did you know that they have breakfast at school?" I said "yes", and then Blake's response was "I have been eating breakfast at school." "Oh really," I said, "and, about how many days have you done this?" He held up six fingers.
Well come to find out his best friend eats breakfast at school and he decided to join him. We talked a bit and decided that he could do this on occasion, but he needs to let me know so that we can keep track of the money in his account. He really does not need to eat two breakfasts a day and should be able to eat his lunch during lunch time as well. So with a little communication you can find out that school does not need to be just a big food buffet, but can also be a place for learning.

Gotta love those little ones as they learn and grow-Rayma

Weekly Update

Not much happened this week. Blake was a little sick with a fever but made it through. Rayma received some good news from the dermatologist this week. He took the last of her stitches out and said all the skin cancer was gone and she just needed to check back in six months. We are very grateful for that.

Only 5 more weeks until the baby is born. We are still debating a name we are down to three. Corey Bryson Bullock, Bridger Corey Bullock or Carson Corey Bullock. Chime in if you like one or the other.

Corey was called to be Young Men's President in our new ward in Grantsville. He will be very busy. Other than that we are doing well and are grateful for the many tender mercies and blessings that Heavenly Father continues to bless us with everyday. Hope all is well!

2008 Trip to the State Fair

First of all I would like to apologize for posting so many blogs on the same day. We are trying to catch up.

Also I would like to apologize for Blake in the photo. He has been drinking contaminated water since we moved to Grantsville and it affects him in wierd ways.

We had the opportunity to go to the 2008 State Fair. The kids loved the animals, especially the reptile exhibits. They also loved little hands on the farm exhibit. The photos really tell the story. The photos were taken on Thursday, September 11, 2008.

Updating

We are new at this blog thing so a little updating.

We have moved to Grantsville, Utah into a new house (yeah! we get to put in ANOTHER yard!). We have lived in our new house for three months now and realy are starting to enjoy it. It is so peaceful.

Rayma is due to have our forth child on October 19th-23rd (I know I thought that was a long time to be in labor too, but that is when she says the baby is due). My guess is that it will probably come October 9th or 10th.

Blake has started first grade at Willow Elementary School in Grantsville and rides the bus (which he loves). We had a little trauma yesterday as Blake lost two more teeth (he has now lost 6). It probably would have been easier to get gold out of Fort Knox then teeth out of his mouth. I am still nursing three bite marks on my fingers. It was quit an ordeal.

Kaitlyn has decided she wants to be a gymnast (we didn't watch any of the olympics, did we?!?!). She also is becoming very helpful around the house.

Braden, is growing and has such a great personality. He loves to tease but hates to be teased (sounds like his dad).

Anyway, we will be adding some pictures and more posts in the future!

Why I created a blogg

I created this blog because certain people wouldn't stop bugging me to create a blog. Holy Cow! It's like your not cool if you don't have a blog or something!

Well, umm... you know... I must have a lot of empty space in my head (why did I start a blog in the first place)...anyway!

Holy cow, this thing really works. I just now received a phone call from a very well recpected royal family from Africa offering me the investment opportunity of a lifetime. All I have to do is give them my bank account number and they will deposit millions of dollars into it. What luck and all of this because I have a blog. I wasn't cool before, but now I am all that and a kit kat.

Which reminds, I haven't had any lunch.

See you next time!
